and Wells as well as the coastal towns of Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon and Portishead, country villages such as Cheddar,

Chew Magna, Axbridge and Wookey Hole and numerous historical towns like Glastonbury, Street and Shepton Mallet.

The area is of interest if your holiday is to include sightseeing, touring, cycling, rambling, fishing, boating, caving, photography or bird watching to mention just a few.

Various national trust properties, such as the recently acquired tyntesfield are also close by. Church Cottage is ideal for those wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Church Cottage is a picturesque, individual, detached one bedroom cottage available for holidays and short breaks throughout the year.

it is situated in the village of Blagdon which nestles between the Mendip hills and Blagdon lake.

The Cottage sleeps 2 and has recently been fully modernised and equipped and tastefully decorated throughout.  Many original features such as the flagstone floor, beams and fireplace have all been retained.

The Accommodation

On the ground floor is a very cosy sitting room with wood burner, comfortable suite, colour TV, CD player. Also on the ground floor is the attractively fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, cafeteria and comprehensive range of equipment and utensils.

Off the kitchen is a secluded, private patio with seating/table, barbecue and a variety of tubs containing shrubs and flowers. The outbuildings have been converted into a utility area, with washing machine and tumble dryer as well as space to store logs, bikes, fishing or walking equipment.

A concealed winding staircase leads from the kitchen to the first floor bedroom. This picturesque room has a comfortable double bed and pine furniture. Off the bedroom is the ensuite bathroom with full size bath, with shower over, WC and washbasin.

BLAGDON

           The Village of Blagdon is nestled between the Mendip Hills and Blagdon lake. Each year, due to its setting, Blagdon attracts people for a Variety of reasons.

           The lake not only attracts those interested in fishing but also people interested in photography and ornithology.

           Last year almost 60,000 brown and rainbow trout were caught at Blagdon and the nearby Chew Valley lakes, Records show an amazing 260 speicies

           of birds have been recorded here.

           Within the village are several pubs serving a variety of beers and wines as well as excellent food.  There is also a general store and a butchers which

           sells local meat, cheese, sausages and  attracts customers from miles around.
